Perpetually Transient mit neuen Arbeiten von Anahita Razmi (DE/IR), Basim Magdy (CH/ET), Florian Graf (CH) und Bernd Behr (UK) befasst sich mit räumlichen Konstellationen der Ambivalenz in der gegenwärtigen, globalisierten Kunstproduktion. Bis anhin unvereinbare Elemente und Akteure werden durch die künstlerischen Interventionen in einen kritischen Austausch gebracht und unerwartete Imaginationsräume eröffnet.
Florian Graf untersucht mit seiner ortspezifischen Intervention die westliche Kunstinstitution auf Widerspruch und Potenzialität in Zeiten globalisierter Kunstkreisläufe. Anhand der mehrdeutigen Verschränkung von Fotografie und Diorama reflektiert Bernd Behr in der Filminstallation Shotcrete Periphery die lange ignorierte Verbindung von Mediengeschichte und kolonialer Situation. In "A Tale of Tehrangeles" nutzt Anahita Razmi Widerspruch und Ambivalenz, um kulturelle Stereotypen der Wahrnehmung von Ost und West zu verhandeln. In seinen Collagen evoziert Basim Magdy mit fragmentierten Narrativen apokalyptische Szenarien und kommentiert nicht nur die Situation in Ägypten, sondern auch Ambivalenz in ihrem amivalenten, destruktiven Potenzial.

Perpetually Transient with new works by Anahita Razmi (DE/IR), Basim Magdy (CH/ET), Florian Graf (CH) and Bernd Behr (UK) traces spatial constellations that articulate modes of ambivalence in the current situation of a globalised art production. By their interventions, hitherto incompatible elements and figures enter a critical zone of exchange, opening up unexpected fields of imagination.
With his site-specific intervention, Florian Graf investigates the Western art institutions for contradiction and potentiality in an era of globalised art circuit. In the film installation Shotcrete Periphery Bernd Behr reflects on the long ignored connection of media history and colonial situation by means of an ambiguous entanglement of photography and diorama. In A Tale of Tehrangeles, Anahita Razmi uses contradiction and ambivalence to negotiate cultural stereotypes of perception of the East and the West. In his collages, Basim Magdy evokes apocalyptic scenarios with fragmented narratives and comments not only on the situation in Egypt, but also ambiguity in their ambivalent, destructive potential.
